One of the most challenging aspects of bringing Karuna Sessions to the world has been identifying a target audience. All homo sapiens share the common experience of being born and living in a physical body. Individuals will have differing desires and tolerances for physical contact, and cultural attitudes moderate availability, but the need for touch is innate in our biology.
Many a talented marketing maven has banged her head against the wall when trying to help us answer the question, "Who are our customers?" (Answer: everybody.) Each of us will find ourselves in need of relaxation, respite, comfort or connection at some point in our lives, and we may not be able to ask for/receive it from our friends and family. We are taking a radical approach to wellness, one which is frequently overlooked, misunderstood and shrouded in shame.
We have found that there are many situations and life circumstances where a Karuna Session offers relief that can be found by creating conscious connection through immersive touch. Some people read about our offerings and instinctually know they need what we offer; still others are referred by a friend or a professional. We often hear our clients at the end of the session say "I have no idea how much I needed that."

Some individuals only see us once; others will schedule a series of appointments to work on an issue with us as a part of their therapeutic team. Those who make this a part of their wellness regimen come once every 6-12 months. A little Karuna goes a long way.
